Designing with Flower & Stone
Partnership and Purpose
In partnership with Catherine Payne of Flower & Stone, House Gardens was commissioned to transform the outdoor space of a modern detached property on the outskirts of Hitchin into a luxurious garden designed for entertaining and family living.
Contemporary style, family focus
A Garden for Living and Entertaining
From a blank canvas, the team created a garden that balances sleek contemporary design with practical functionality. Clean lines define the layout, leading to key features including a hot tub, a powder-coated aluminium pergola with louvered roof, and a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, creating the perfect setting for both intimate gatherings and larger social occasions.
Refined detail, lasting impact
Hard Landscaping and Finishing Touches
The hard landscaping blends elegance with texture: the main patio was laid in refined porcelain, accented by Cotswold stone feature pathways and porcelain stepping stones that guide movement through the space. A new lawn, edged with galvanised steel, adds crisp definition and complements the structured design.
The result is a sophisticated, contemporary garden that not only enhances the property’s architecture but also provides a versatile and inviting space for entertaining, relaxing, and enjoying modern family life.
